Getting here is half the fun!

Port Chalmers is a great little town, but that means we don't have HEAPS of parking! We recommend buying your tickets early so you can catch the free buses or one of the other exciting journeys to the festival.

Park and ride: Free buses

Forsyth Barr Stadium

Once again we have one of the sweetest selections of buses in action on festival day thanks to the

Otago Heritage Bus Society

Free buses and carparking throughout the day:

Buses run from the Forsyth Barr Stadium car park to the festival, returning throughout the day upon presentation of your festival ticket or entry wristband.

You can also park your car for free in the Forsyth Barr Stadium carpark during the day!

The Emerson's Express

Choo choo take the train!

Thanks to the one and only Emerson's Brewery we also have four special return train rides running right on to the port's wharf from Dunedin Railway Station.

Keen on the train?

Train tickets are $10 each way for adults, and kids are free BUT they still do need a ticket (so pick the Admit-One + Child ticket)

If you want to grab a train there and a bus back, or the other way around - go right ahead!

Booking & transaction fees apply

Note: the train is not wheelchair accessible as it requires 2-3 steps up to get onboard.

Cruise the harbour...

Make your way on the iconic Monarch

Take your time down the harbour with a one way tour on Dunedin's iconic Monarch.

A festival ferry will depart at 9:45am from 20 Fryatt Street Wharf and arrive at 10:45am at Boiler Point Wharf for the festival.

After disembarking the boat, passengers will need to walk the 10-minutes between the wharf at Careys Bay and the festival, located within Port Otago at Port Chalmers.

Numbers are strictly limited.
